Gumla: Two-year-old Vanshika Sarna passed away four days back after she fell from the balcony of her house while playing.
Despite her demise, her parents resolved to give vision to not only one, but two different people. They want to see two other children see the world through their daughter's eyes.
Hailing from Jharkhand's Gumla district, Vanshika was playing with her friend in the balcony of her house after her mother, who works as a cashier in a bank, has left for duty, while her father and grandfather were present inside their rooms.
Vanshika was taken to a private nursing home in Gumla and later shifted to Ranchi for better treatment but succumbed to her injuries.
Within no time the parents pledged to donate the eyes of their daughter and took her to Kashyap Memorial Eye Hospital in Ranchi.
"As soon as our daughter left this world, a thought came in our mind of donating Vanshika's eyes. It will bring light to someone's dark life. Feeling very proud," Vanshika's mother Sulekha said.
Chandra Prakash Panna, Vanshika's father said that despite the family's objection, both I and my wife decided to donate both the eyes of our daughter.
Vanshika's grandfather has also planted a tree in her name in the lawn of their house as she was very fond of plants.
