The terminated students have been given time till December 16 for rectification and have been ordered to fill Form A-5 on the website for the Senate to consider the withdrawing of their dismissal.

Talking to ETV Bharat, Dhanbad MP PN Singh said, "Termination of 214 students from a prestigious institute like ISM is shocking. Promising students come here to study and also serve in major institutions of the country. I will talk to the director and tell him to look into the matter. We cannot allow that student's future to be sacrificed."

Dheeraj Kumar, an advocate of Jharkhand High Court, said, "It is not appropriate to terminate students for not depositing fees during the Corona period. If we talk about the legal aspects, then we have to look that what notice was served to the students by the college management. What caused the delay in the submission of fees by the students? All these things have to be understood. Students can appeal to senate( highest student body in the college). If they are not satisfied, they can approach the High Court."
