New Delhi: Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative (IFFCO) MD Udai Shanker Awasthi, Marketing Director Yogendra Kumar met Bharatiya Janata Party MP and senior leader Nishikant Dubey at his Delhi residence.
In an hour-long meeting, it has been decided that IFFCO's first food processing plant will be set up at Godda in Jharkhand.
During the meeting, it has also been decided to increase production at the Nano fertilizer factory in Deoghar. The production target of Nano fertilizer has been increased from 30 million bottles annually to 7 crore.
Nishikant Dubey said that IFFCO's food processing plant is going to be set up in Godda at a cost of Rs 200 crores. This will provide employment to thousands of people.
He added that this will give the farmers of the entire region a fair price for their produce. Vegetables will be purchased from local farmers for products prepared in the processing plant.
