Jharkhand: The Congress in Jharkhand was facing internal discord as warring factions in the state were demanding the removal of Dr Ajay Kumar from the post of state party president until he finally resigned on Friday.
Months ahead of assembly elections in the state, the ruling BJP is all set to start its election campaign for the upcoming state polls but on the other hand, Congress is struggling to find its next president for the state.
While talking to ETV Bharat former Congress President Sukhdev Bhagat said, "Sonia Gandhi has long political experience and she knows well as to who can lead the party."
"If I would be given charge of the post then I will do my job with full dedication rest the decision depends on our party chief," he added.
Presently, all the party workers are focusing on presentation of the party for better results in the upcoming state assembly elections.
"Earlier, the party workers were busy in Rajiv Gandhi's 75th birth anniversary programs," Bhagat said adding that name of the state party chief will be disclosed soon.
