Pakur: Forest department of Pakur district of Jharkhand has decided to plant one lakh thirty-four thousand medicinal plants for the first time in the district.
For this, the forest department has completed all its preparations. The plantation will start at the onset of monsoon.
According to the information received from the forest department, the Gobindpur, Panchanandpur, Ghatchora, Radhavallabhpurv and Shivttala village have been selected by the where the medicinal plants will be planted.
A total of 80 hectares of forest land has been acquired in these villages for plantation.
Ranger Anil Kumar Singh said that the medicinal trees are very low in the district. Considering this, it has been decided that a total of 1 lakh 34 thousand medicinal plants will be planted.
