Extremists kill villager on charges of murder in Jharkhand's Latehar

Some extremists allegedly killed Kaltu Uraon of Murgidih village in Barwadih Tehsil of Latehar district. They abducted him along with his wife and beaten him to death while inquiring about killing of a minor girl.

Latehar: A villager was beaten to death on the charges of killing a minor girl allegedly by extremists, sources said.

They said the deceased, identified as Kaltu Uraon of Murgidih village in Barwadih Tehsil of Latehar district, was abducted along with his wife from their house last

night. The extremists took them to a near-by jungle and inquired about the killing of the minor girl.

"They took us to the jungle on a motorcycle and started beating us while asking about the killing of the minor girl. We told them that we had nothing to do with the crime but they kept on hitting him until he died," said the wife of Uraon.

Meanwhile, the police have sent the body for postmortem and started probing the case.
