Ranchi: Police have arrested five Naxals belonging to Peoples' Liberation Front of India (PLFI) after conducting raids in various parts of the city.
It was learnt that they were living in rented accommodations in different areas as students.
Two loaded country-made pistols, half a dozen live cartridges were recovered from the arrested members of the PLFI, who were later identified as Vijay Munda, Vishal Sharma, Vishal Kumar Swansi, Akash Singh and Sushil Verma.
Police told media persons that the raids were conducted on the basis of a tip-off about their presence in the area.
The arrested Naxals already have a number of cases registered against them, the police said.
