Ranchi (Jharkhand): Three Covid-19 patients died after oxygen supply was disrupted for an hour at the Sadar Hospital in Ranchi of Jharkhand on Friday.
In view of the increasing number of Covid cases in Jharkhand, earlier the Sadar hospital was converted into a Covid care hospital. During the time of the incident, almost 350 patients were under treatment in the hospital.
Due to disrupted oxygen supply, the family members of the patient hurriedly saved the lives of their patients by installing jumbo cylinders, but many of them were unable to do the same.

According to the hospital authorities, the patients who died were suffering from serious illness and hence the hospital could not save their lives.

Meanwhile, senior officers of the district administration and hospital management are taking stock of the situation. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
