Kulgam: Two militants have been killed and two cops injured in an ongoing encounter in Koral in the Manzgam area of south Kashmir's Kulgam district. Officials said that one of the militants was a Pakistani national.
According to sources, the security forces had received a tip-off about the presence of militants in the area after which the police force and army launched a joint operation. As security forces conducted a search operation, militants hiding in the area fired indiscriminately upon the security forces, which led to an encounter in the area. According to sources, two to three militants were reported to be hiding in the area.

"One Pakistani terrorist (code name Chacha) and one hybrid terrorist killed. 02 Police Personnel also injured. They are being evacuated to hospital. Encounter going on," Kashmir Zone Police tweeted quoting Inspector General of Police (Kashmir), Vijay Kumar.
IGP Kumar told the media that it was the same group that had managed to escape last week following a brief gunfight in the Chaki Samad area in Kulgam. Three Pakistani militants have been killed in the last two days, the IGP added.
