Tral: A 36-year-old woman hailing from the Tral area of South Kashmir, who had sustained a bullet injury on Friday night, succumbed today at a hospital in Srinagar. Police had registered a case in this regard on Saturday.
The woman has been identified as Shakeela Banu, a resident of the Darganie Gund area of Tral.

In a statement, police said, "The family had tried to conceal her bullet injury and shifted her to a nearby hospital from where she was referred to Sub District Hospital in Tral. However, she was later referred to Srinagar’s SMHS Hospital where the doctors diagnosed a bullet injury to the woman."

As per the police statement, doctors were informed about Shakeela suffering an “abdominal pain/heart problem” by the husband and her in-laws.

Later, in an investigation, a team of police recovered an empty cartridge during the search of her house. Meanwhile, the investigation is underway.
