Traffic cop injured critically in road acccident in J&K's Ramban

A Traffic policeman was critically injured after being hit by an unknown truck on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

Ramban: A traffic policeman was critically injured in a road accident on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to police sources, Mushtaq Hamad (48), who was stationed on the highway this evening, was posted at the Digdol location of the highway when he was hit by an unidentified truck.

The unknown truck was able to escape the scene.

Local police and volunteers launched a rescue operation immediately after the incident and shifted the injured to the District Hospital Ramban, where doctors referred the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu, after initial treatment.

Police have registered a case and have started searching for the accused.
