Pulwama (Jammu-Kashmir): Four pistols and ammunition were recovered during a search operation conducted jointly by the Jammu Kashmir Police and the Army at Telangum village in south Kashmir's Pulwama on Friday.
"The matter is under further investigation. The search operation was jointly launched by the army and police," an official said.
Earlier, the police along with security forces arrested an active terrorist of proscribed terror outfit Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and recovered incriminating materials, including arms and ammunition from his possession.
Besides, a combined team of Army's 50 Rashtriya Rifles, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and police have launched a joint cordon and search operation in Androosa Khrew area of Awantipora in South Kashmir.
"During the search operation, joint forces observed some suspicious movement in an orchard where a suspected person was trying to escape but was tactfully apprehended by the joint parties."
