Srinagar: Former Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank, Pervez Ahmed Nengroo on Thursday joined the Jammu and Kashmir People's Conference led by Sajjad Ghani Lone.
Addressing a press conference at his residence in Church Lane, Srinagar, Lone said, "The people of Jammu and Kashmir are going through the most difficult period at the moment... At this time, we all need to be accountable."
Lone appealed to the people of Jammu and Kashmir to respect the mainstream political parties and bring them to power, saying: "If people do not respect political parties and mainstream political leaders and bring them back to power, things would get worse instead of better."
The JKPC President further said, "Any representative from Jammu or Kashmir should be a local, because a non-native don't have a stake in the region, but the natives have a stake in the welfare and development of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. We can take better steps."

Welcoming Nengroo to the party, Lone said: "We need capable, hardworking and technocrats like Nengroo. We need successful people who have achieved success in their lives through hard work and struggle. ”
Expressing his views, Nengroo said, "I am very impressed with the personality of Sajjad Lone, that is why I joined the People's Conference."
