Police find weapons cache at shop in Kashmir

Police on Sunday said that they have recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a shop in Sangrama area of north Kashmir's Sopore.

Sopore (Jammu and Kashmir): Police said that the arms and ammunition were recovered after an 'overground worker' revealed during interrogation that they had hidden the weapons in a shop in Sangrama area in Sopore.

Overground workers are those who provide logistical support, cash, shelter, and other infrastructure to militants in Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the police, the worker was arrested in Bandipora recently.

Police said they recovered one pistol, 20 rounds and five grenades after searching the shop.

Police have registered a case in this regard and investigations are on.
