Srinagar: At least one security personnel received minor injuries after militants hurled a grenade at them in the Chanapora area of Srinagar in Jammu & Kashmir on Friday.
"At around 1.15pm today, unidentified militants hurled a grenade at the checkpoint party of the 29 Battalion of the CRPF. One personnel has received a splinter injury in his one leg," a CRPF spokesman Abhiram told ETV Bharat.
"The attack took place in front of the police station Chanapora. A woman was also reportedly injured, but this has not yet been confirmed officially," he added.
Meanwhile, the police have cordoned off the area and a search is underway to nab the extremists.
