Lt Governor Manoj Sinha visits Vaishno Devi in Jammu

Jammu-Kashmir LG Manoj Sinha offered prayers at Mata Vaishno Devi shrine in Katra on Friday. He also inspected the facilities set up for pilgrims ahead of the resumption of the Yatra on August 16.

Katra: Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, who is also the Chairman of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, paid obeisance at the Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi on Friday.

Sinha was accompanied by Chief Secretary BVR Subrahmanyam and CEO of the Shrine Board, Ramesh Kumar on his maiden visit. He reached the shrine at 5:45 pm along with members of the shrine board and prayed for the well-being of Jammu and Kashmir.

Apart from offering prayers at the shrine, he also inspected the facilities set up for the pilgrims ahead of the resumption of the Yatra on August 16.

Besides, he directed Kumar to ensure all necessary precautionary measures in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sinha was in Reasi in connection with a two-day visit of the union territory.
