Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir): Acting on reliable information, Kupwara Police busted a Pakistan-sponsored narco terror module and arrested one terrorist associate, identified as Mukhtar Husain Shah - a resident of Panj Taran Village, Karnah in Kupwara. Nine kgs of heroin was recovered from his possession.
The module was being run in close connection with Pak-based terror handlers and involved in drug trade assisting active terrorists of Valley financially. A case has been registered. An SIT team has been constituted to ascertain details of the accused' ties with terror outfits and other anti-national elements, said Kupwara Police.
