Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and a 65-year-old civilian were killed when suspected militants attacked a CRPF party in north Kashmir's Sopore town on Wednesday morning.
According to the CRPF, the three-year-old boy was saved from getting hit by bullets during the terrorist attack. The family of the deceased accused that CRPF have pulled out the slain civilian of his car and shot him dead.
Spokesman of the CRPF based in Srinagar said that militants who were hiding in a nearby building attacked a naka party at 7:30 am when the troops were de-bussing from the vehicles to occupy their respective spots of deployment.
The CRPF spokesman in his statement said that head constable Deep Chand succumbed to his injuries and one civilian died on the spot in the attack.

The civilian was later identified as Bashir Ahmad Khan, a resident of Zainakote area in Srinagar outskirts who along with his 3-year grandson were on way to Sopore for some personal work.
Khan's body was lying on the roadside when ETV Bharat reporter reached the site of the attack.
Soon after the attack, a series of pictures and videos of a 3-year-old boy claimed to have been rescued by police went viral. Jammu and Kashmir Police official twitter handle uploaded the pictures of the boy.
Earlier on June 26, a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper and a five-year-old child were killed in a terror attack at Bijbehara town in South Kashmir's Anantnag district.
The slain jawan was identified as Shymal Kumar. He was hit by a bullet in the head and the five-year-old as Nehan was critically injured. They were moved to the hospital where both of them succumbed to their injuries.
