Three of family found dead in Baramulla

A man, his wife and son were found dead in Nihalpura village, Baramulla district. Police suspect that the trio died due to asphyxiation.

Srinagar: Three members of a family were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla on Tuesday, police said.

The trio were residents of Nihalpura village in Patan area of north Kashmir's Baramulla district.

According to a source, Mohammad Maqbool Lone (43) along with wife Haseena Begum (40) and son Talib Lone (2) died due to suffocation after inhaling fumes of toxic gas. Police also suspected the cause of death to be asphyxiation.

However, the police officer said it could only be ascertained after post-mortem.

"The apparent cause of death appears to be asphyxiation but this will only be ascertained after medical examination," the officer said.
