Kupwara: In road mishap, a driver of a private vehicle lost his life while three others sustained serious injuries in north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Friday morning.
Reports said a privately owned car bearing registration number CH 03A 2071 met with an accident at Hatmulla area of Kupwara.
In the mishap, the driver died on the spot while three others sustained serious injuries and were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The deceased was identified as Shabir Ahmad Deedad son of Saifullah Din Deedad, a resident of Kupwara.
A police team rushed to the spot and are investigating the incident. He said the accident occurred at Hatmulla area when a speeding truck hit the car.
A police officer added that the exact number of injured persons was not known immediately.
