Srinagar: Three Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) jawans and one Jammu and Kashmir police constable were injured on Wednesday when suspected militants hurled a grenade at Nowhatta area of Srinagar city, an official said.
"At around 9:15 pm, militants lobbed a grenade towards security personnel deployed at the Nowhatta chowk in the city. During the attack three SSB jawans and a cop sustained injuries," SSB Spokesperson told ETV Bharat.

He said the injured were taken to the nearest hospital for treatment where their condition is stated to be stable. The injured personnel have been identified as JKP constable Abdul Majeed, SSB Sub-Inspector Anurag Rao, SSB Head Constable Sananta Kumar and SSB Constable Durgesh Kumar.
Police and security forces have cordoned off the area to nab the militants responsible for the act. However, no militant outfit has owned responsibility so far.
