Jammu: While the Central government is trying to strengthen the private sector in Jammu and Kashmir, many employees of Jammu and Kashmir are on the verge of unemployment after the sudden decision of closure of a Coca-Cola plant in Jammu.
Several employees protested against Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages (HCCB) on Saturday.
Employees were seen sloganeering, expressing their concerns regarding job-security and their uncertain future.
"We are off roll employees and the company has been sold to another company named Kandhari Lala, but till now no intimation has been given to us," told Aman Singh, an employee.
There was a significant number of employees who were working in the company for more than five years.
As the company's management will now change, employees are worried whether they'll be asked to move out or hired at a lower salary.
