Farooq Abdullah tests positive for COVID-19 again

After testing positive for Covid-19 on March 30, Farooq Abdullah, Lok Sabha member and National Conference party president has tested positive again. He was shifted to SKIMS for “better monitoring” on April 3.

Srinagar: The National Conference president and incumbent parliamentarian from Srinagar constituency Dr Farooq Abdullah, admitted at Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Soura has again tested positive for COVID-19, confirmed official sources.

Earlier, Farooq Abdullah had tested positive for COVID-19 on March 30 and was under home isolation for few days. However, on April 3, he was shifted to SKIMS Soura for “better monitoring.”

Further, Omar Abdullah, NC vice president and Farooq's son retweeted a media outlet's update on Farooq's status. Omar stated "This is nothing unusual. COVID patients often test positive for quite a few days as the viral load reduces. The important thing is he is responding well to treatment & does not require any supplementary oxygen support."
