Handwara (J&K): As District Development council (DDC) election is days away, a father-son duo is contesting the DDC elections against each other in the Magam, Handwara territorial seat.
According to reports the father-son duo is contesting for Magam seat and filed their nomination papers today at the ADC office in Handwara.
Talking to reporters Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Shiekh said that his aim to contest the election is only for the development of the area. "we have witnessed what political parties did in last 70 year’s,” he said.

On being asked about holding a key role in the BJP party earlier, he said that he has nothing to do with BJP. "I am contesting this election as an independent candidate,” he said.
However, his son Faisal Mohi-ud-din who is also contesting on the same seat said that he will end the corruption in the area and appealed the youth to cast the vote in his favour to end the corruption.
