Day 42: 147 passengers reach Srinagar from Jeddah

On the 42nd day of the resumption of operation of routine domestic aviation operations in Jammu and Kashmir, around 22 domestic flights with 2,456 passengers on board and an International flight with 147 passengers from Jeddah reached Jammu and Srinagar Airports. After their arrival, all the passengers were tested for COVID-19 and transported to their destinations following strict measures to prevent the deadly virus.

Srinagar: On day 42, an International flight with 147 passengers from Jeddah has also arrived at Srinagar Airport. After the resumption of operation of routine domestic flights in Jammu and Kashmir, as many as 21 domestic flights with 2,456 passengers on board reached Jammu and Srinagar airports on Sunday.

A total of 819 passengers onboard 10 regular commercial flights arrived at the Jammu Airport while 12 domestic flights with about 1637 passengers on board landed at Srinagar Airport on Sunday.

After arrival, all the passengers were tested for the coronavirus and transported to their destinations at both the airports amid strict observance of all necessary preventive protocols.

The government has made elaborate arrangements for the arrival, screening, sampling and proper transportation of the passengers to the quarantine centres taking special care of guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) issued by the Union Ministries of Civil Aviation and Health and Family Welfare.
