Srinagar: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel and a civilian were on Sunday injured in a militant attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Anantnag district.
"At around 6:30 pm, suspected militants hurled a grenade on a joint party of J&K Police and CRPF in Achabal area of Anantnag district, " a senior police official told ETV Bharat.
The official further said, "During the attack, one personnel of CRPF's 96 Bn and a civilian identified as Ishtiaq Ahmad Dalal, a local resident, sustained splinter injuries and have been shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment."

Meanwhile, security forces have cordoned off the area and search operations have been launched to nab the attackers.
