Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir): An Army man was killed and two others were injured after an avalanche hit an army post in Tangdhar sector of north Kashmir's Kupwara district on Wednesday.
According to the official sources, army unit of 7 RR at Roshan Post came under an avalanche today morning at forward area in Tangdhar sector along the line of control.
"Three soldiers came under the avalanche. However, following the efforts of jawans all were evacuated and were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment. But unfortunately, one soldier succumbed to his injuries, " the officials said.
The deceased soldier has been identified as Nikhil Sharma by the officials.
The injured soldiers were rushed to a hospital.
