Srinagar: Thousands of Kashmiri Pandits gathered at the Kheer Bhawani Durga Temple in Jammu and Kashmir's Tulmulla to pray for peace and tranquillity in the valley. The Kashmiri Pandits from across the nation reached the temple in Ganderbal, to perform special pooja on the occasion of Jyeshtha Ashtami, which is the second important event of the Ashad Ashtami.
Local Kashmiris were present in the temple to welcome the Kashmiri Pandits. They also arranged for their refreshment and accommodation. Notably, the Kashmiri Pandits have been in exile ever since the brutal exodus due to the sudden rise in terrorism and targeted assassination of the community leaders since 1990.
