Army jawan killed in Pak firing along LoC

An Indian Army jawan, who was critically injured in firing from Pakistan on the Line of Control, succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.

Jammu: An Indian soldier was killed in firing fromPakistanon the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, defence sources said on Sunday.

According to the sources, the Pakistani troops resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in the Shahpur area late on Saturday night which continued till Sunday morning.

"The soldier was critically injured in the firing. He succumbed to his injuries earlier today," the sources added.
