A group of women hit a senior police official in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district accusing him of inaction in relation to a murder case. The case pertains to the murder of a villager named Surjeet Kumar. Kumar was found dead at his residence

Kangra (HP): A senior police official was allegedly beaten up by a group of women in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra district.

The incident took place when women were accusing the police of inaction in relation to a murder case.

The video which went viral on social media shows that the cop was cornered and beaten up by the women.

They alleged that the police are sheltering the culprit.

The case pertains to the murder of a villager named Surjeet Kumar. Kumar was found dead at his residence on Thursday.

Dehra police station in-charge and senior police officials reached the spot and assured that action will be taken against the accused.

Dehra DSP Randhir Rana said that the matter is under investigation and culprits will be arrested soon.
