Kullu: Security has been beefed up in Kullu-Manali ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on October 3.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to come here for the inauguration of Atal Tunnel on the Manali-Leh highway, which has been built to ensure all-weather connectivity to people of the Lahaul valley.
DGP Sanjay Kundu said that the security personnel have been deployed in large numbers to ensure foolproof security.
Paragliding, drone flying and other such activities have been banned in view of Modi's visit to the region, they said.
The Prime Minister is also expected to address two public meetings after opening the 9.2-km strategic tunnel.
