Paonta Sahib (Himachal Pradesh): ETV Bharat brings to you a heartbreaking story of a mother who is trying to save her son amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Lalita Rathore hailing from Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh belongs to a very poor family and needs help for the treatment of her son, who is a kidney patient.

The 9-year-old Sarthak is suffering from renal agenesis (having only one kidney by birth) which is also infected and doctors have advised him to have proper treatment to survive.

While talking to ETV Bharat, Lalita said, "My son has only one kidney which is also infected. I have no money to get him treated."

Doctors had advised me three years ago to take Sarthak to PGI Chandigarh hospital, but due to lack of money, I couldn't go there.

"Because of the ongoing coronavirus crisis, we are facing more problems as I have no employment. Now, I am struggling to find the money for my son's medicines," she added.
