Himachal govt to conduct door-to-door survey to identify patients

To identify patients with Covid19 and other ailments, the Himachal Pradesh Health Department will conduct a door-to-door survey from November 25 to December 27. The state government has formed 8000 teams for this purpose.

Shimla: The Himachal Pradesh Health Department will conduct a door-to-door survey from November 25 to December 27 to identify patients with Covid19, tuberculosis, leprosy, diabetes and high blood pressure.

The state government has formed 8000 teams for this purpose.

Each team will have two members who will go door-to-door to identify corona patients.

The campaign will be launched by Chief Minister, Jairam Thakur, from Ridge Ground in Shimla on 24 November.

Health and Family Welfare Secretary Amitabh Awasthi said that the state government is taking all necessary preventative and remedial steps to deal with the corona epidemic due to which the investigative capacity has been increased in the state.

As of Sunday evening, a total of 4,87,284 tests have been done in Himachal Pradesh, out of which 33,951 positive cases were found.

Till Sunday evening, 524 people have died in the state due to COVID-19.

People have been urged to adopt regular safe practices to increase their immunity and to ensure that COVID-19 is treated as soon as possible without any panic.

The chances of infection can be controlled if the positive cases isolate themselves at the correct time.

They have been asked to contact the helpline number, 104, in case of fever, cough, cold or respiratory problems and to avail the e-Sanjeevani OPD service.

The pandemic situation in the state is getting worse day by day. There is an increase in cases almost every day.

The next two months are going to be challenging for Himachal. Doctors also believe that the COVID situation may worsen in December and January.
