Shimla: Years after the case of Gudia rape and murder in Himachal Pradesh's Kotkhai, family members are still waiting for justice. Although the CBI has arrested a person named Chirani for the case, the family members of the deceased have not been satisfied with the CBI investigation.
The family has once again approached the Himachal Pradesh High Court, raising the demand for re-investigation of the case.
The family wants a reinvestigation under the supervision of the sitting judge.
At the same time, the lawyer of Gudiya's family said that a petition was filed in the Supreme Court regarding the case, after which the Supreme Court asked to file a petition again in the state high court.
He said that the family has demanded a re-investigation of the Gudiya case so that justice can be done. More than one person is involved in the case as evidence of brain mapping has been found.
CBI has caught one accused Chirani in the doll case so far, but the family is not satisfied with it. He says that his daughter has not got justice yet. For which he has once again approached the High Court.
On July 6, 2017, the girl's body was found in a forest of Kotkhai area, triggering protests, which turned violent after the custodial killing of an arrested accused. The Himachal Pradesh high court had later handed over the case to CBI, which registered a case on July 22, 2017.
