Nahan (Himachal Pradesh) : A gruesome accident came to light in Sirmour district today morning. Four people died in the accident. The incident took place at around 5 am under the Sangrah sub-division. Here a car fell into a deep gorge, 4 people including 2 women died. A couple is among the dead. Police took out the bodies and sent them to the hospital for postmortem.
The accident happened on the Lanacheta-Rajgarh road. Three of the dead are said to be residents of the same village. The cause of the accident is being investigated. According to the police, the incident took place near Pabour on Lanacheta-Rajgarh road. The ill-fated car was going towards Rajgarh. The car fell into a deep ditch.
According to the police, the deceased were identified as Kamal Raj (40), Jeevan Singh (63) and his wife Suma Devi (54) residents of village Fagu Dahan (Rajgarh) and Rekha (25) of village Thanoga Rajgarh. Sangdah DSP Mukesh Kumar has confirmed the accident. He told that the police had received information about the accident at around 5:30 am. After that, the police were sent to the spot from the Nauhradhar outpost and Sangdah police station.
Police initiated efforts to hand over the bodies after the postmortem is completed at the hospital. The DSP said that at present the cause of the accident is being ascertained and further investigation has been started by registering a case. The local people are being asked to give any information that they know about the accident. The recovery of the bodies took time as the car has fallen into a deep ditch.
