Bilaspur (Himachal Pradesh): BJP national president JP Nadda on Friday said that BJP- AIADMK alliance will win the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Speaking to reporters in Himachal Pradesh's Bilaspur, Nadda reiterated that the AIADMK is leading the alliance in Tamil Nadu and both the parties will win the upcoming elections.

"Prime Minister Narendra Modi facilitated projects like the defence corridor for Tamil Nadu while the state was 'ignored' during the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance regime. Be it projects like the defence corridor or allocation of funds for Tamil Nadu, the situation changed only after the BJP came to power at the Centre," Nadda said.

"Whether the NDA government led by then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee or the current Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu has been given full respect. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed the top office, a 'safe destiny' was assured for the nation and Tamil Nadu as well. We will also win in Pudducherry and Kerala," he added.

Notably, with elections in Tamil Nadu likely in April-May of this year, the alliance between BJP and AIADMK will be going up against the longstanding alliance of the DMK and Congress.
