Chandigarh: In the modern Internet age, most of us are switching over to electronic modes of money transactions. Be it a bill payment, transfer of funds, getting the mobile phone, TV and other services recharged, the internet has the answer for all our work, which earlier would take a long time and a huge effort.

As one would carry out electronic anywhere in the world with the help of internet services, similarly the thieves too could easily steal funds from your bank accounts once they have secured details of your credit/debit cards.

To guard against any theft, one must not share his/her credit/debit card details with anyone. The One Time Password (OTP) should also not be given to anyone else.

One must also ensure that the website he/she is dealing with is genuine and must not accept any payment link sent by anyone.

The bank card details must be kept secret.

Also in case, a person is using wi-fi enabled card, he/she should save it from getting cloned.

The wi-fi enabled cards should be kept in special covers that block any signal to reach them.

Last but not least, one should follow all the guidelines issued by the banks every now and then to enjoy the convenient electronic banking.
