Panchkula: Ahead of Ellenabad bypoll slated on October 30, Union Minister of State, Rao Inderjit Singh expressed doubts over BJP securing 45 seats just by riding on the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi this time. He made the statement during a BJP State Council meeting held after 39 years in Panchkula on Wednesday.
Addressing the BJP workers, Rao Inderjit said, "the BJP led government was formed for the first time in the state because of Modi ji and for the second time as well. We secured 47 seats in the 1st polls and 40 in the second one but will we be able to cross the 45 mark for the third time in the name of Modi ji? Because it is the tradition in Haryana to not keep a single party in power for three terms,"
Giving suggestions on the political agenda tabled by Om Prakash Dhankhar, Rao said, "Modi ji is always there with us as well as with the state, but there is no guarantee that we will get votes in the name of Modi this time."
The Union Minister further said, "only BJP workers could bring the votes in Haryana to realise Modi ji's dream. Inderjit said that the big leaders would come and go after giving speeches. Hence, voices of the workers have to be heard and carried to the government, only then the dream of winning consecutively three times could come true. Inderjit Singh said that the morale of the workers should not be broken. If the morale of the worker is broken, then our backbone will be broken.
