Sonipat (Haryana): Police in Haryana's Sonipat has registered a case against a man who set his partner ablaze. The young man, living in a live-in relationship with his girlfriend, doused her in petrol and set her on fire inflicting serious burn injuries to the girl.
The girl's family later rushed her to a hospital in Delhi. Sonipat police also reached Delhi and recorded the statement of the girl. Afterwards, action was initiated against the accused youth and his mother by registering a case of attempt to murder.
Pragati and Rahul were living in a live-in relation in the Kundli police station area of Sonepat for a long time. According to the police, the girl is also eight months pregnant. Late in the night, a fight broke out between the two, after which Rahul poured petrol over Pragati and set her ablaze.
Currently, Pragati is undergoing treatment in a hospital in Delhi.

Sub-Inspector Ranbir Singh posted in the Kundli police station said that they had received information from the hospital in Narela, Delhi, that a young woman has been brought in a burnt condition to the hospital. Police reached the spot and took the statement of the victim.
On the statement of the girl, a case was registered against the youth, Rahul, and his mother.
