Chandigarh: Haryana Congress leader Deepender Singh Hooda on Saturday lashed out at Khattar-led government for failing to implement one of its topmost poll promises related to old age pension made ahead of the Assembly elections.
Speaking to media, Hooda said that Khatter-led government has failed to keep its poll promises and betrayed people of the state.
"The BJP had promised a monthly pension of Rs 3,100 and the JJP had promised Rs 5,100 from the current Rs 2,000. But the government betrayed the people of the state by increasing only Rs 50 in the existing pension," said Hooda.

It is to be noted that Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday announced that the monthly pension from January onwards would be Rs 2,250 per month.
Hooda further said that the government is yet to finalise the common minimum programme of the state.
"The coalition government of BJP-JJP has not yet finalised the common minimum programme. This government is only resorting to lying and failing to keep all the pre-poll promises," added Hooda.
