Ambala (Haryana): Farmers in Punjab and Haryana are protesting against recent agriculture ordinances passed by Union Cabinet and demanded that these be withdrawn.
The farming community will block GT Road in Nilokheri, Karnal.
A large number of police forces have been deployed along the Haryana-Punjab border. The blockade has been done at the main square intersections of Ambala city since morning on the border.
Apart from this, Police have been deployed on the Saddopur and Shambhu borders of Haryana-Punjab to prevent the farmers of Punjab from blocking the Delhi-Chandigarh and Delhi-Amritsar highway.
SHO Hamir Singh said that strict action will be taken if the National Highway is blocked by farmers. To deal with this, fire brigade vehicles and additional police force have been deployed.
