Haryana woman booked for raping minor boy

A 29-year-old woman was booked under the POCSO Act for allegedly raping a 14-year-old boy.

Palwal: Police in Palwal have arrested a woman on charges of raping a 14-year-old minor boy on Monday.

The police have booked the 29-year-old accused woman under Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The incident took place on September 13 when the woman complained to the police accusing the boy of raping her.

Based on her complaint, the youth was sent to judicial custody.

Investigating police officer, Anju told ETV Bharat, "The woman accused the youth of allegedly raping her. The accused, who is a widow, said that the 14-year-old boy promised to marry her, but when she was pregnant with his child, the youth went back on his words."

After the court hearing, the boy was discharged from the court and the woman was accused of raping the boy.

The Palwal police have registered the case against the absconding woman and investigation is underway.
