Gurugram: History is a witness that with changing times, humans have evolved too for survival. Now, in the wake of pandemic coronavirus, it looks like Indian weddings too are adapting to the new normal.
In Gurugram, Pritam Chairman, along with his 5 brothers celebrated the Bhaat ceremony of their sister Birbati's daughter where they, along with Rs 51 lakh and other things gifted all the guests a mask and hand sanitizers.
Around 51,000 masks and as many hand sanitizers were distributed to the guests.
Pritam Chairman and his brothers wanted to propagate the idea of safety and caution from coronavirus through their gesture and said it is important that people follow the necessary guidelines issued by the government to keep everyone safe from the pandemic.

The guests appreciated the move and the ceremony is now making headlines due to its progressive thought.
The ceremony of Bhaat takes place at both groom’s home and the bride’s home. Bhaat ceremony, performed by the maternal uncle of the bride and groom takes place at the wedding day or a few days before the wedding ceremony.
In this ritual, the maternal uncle comes home with lavish gifts items along with family members.
