State Home Minister Anil Vij owns a Mercedes car worth about Rs 70 lakh. On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala owns a Land Cruiser. The cost of which is said to be around Rs. 1.25 crore.

Two days ago, in the meeting of the High Power Purchase Committee, approval has been given to purchase the vehicles for CM and ministers, although even before this, Land Cruiser was purchased for Chief Minister Manohar Lal in the first term.
Meanwhile, the decision has generated political heat as the government has approved a budget of about Rs 5.5 crore for the cars of the ministers.
Not only this, even the bungalows of the ministers are also going to be repaired for which an amount running into crores has been approved.
Despite Haryana government reeling under revenue loss of crores of rupees at present, money is being splurged on luxury vehicles and in giving a facelift to bungalows.
