Rohtak (Haryana): The lip-smacking Indian food always attracts every food lover. A joint called Tapasya Paratha Junction on the Rohtak-Delhi bypass is offering unique parathas to the foodies and that too with an offer.

With its proximity to several hostels in the city, the eating joint attracts many people who hope to win free food.

The eatery serves Parathas weighing 2 kgs and claims to be serving India’s largest paratha which is 2.5 feet in size. The parathas are not only delicious and big, but they also have a reward for it.

If you finish eating 3 jumbo parathas in 50 minutes then you get free paratha for a lifetime at this place.

The roadside eatery in Delhi bypass offers parathas stuffed with a variety of fillings- potatoes, onions, cauliflower or radish. The Paratha is cooked on a “tava” (blacktop) with liberal amounts of ghee or oil. The eatery has parathas available in three sizes - normal, medium and large (jumbo).

The parathas here are cooked in desi ghee, weigh around 2 kg and are around two-and-a-half feet. One paratha will cost you from Rs 150 – Rs 350. The parathas are prepared on a huge tawa which is almost the equal size of five such tawas combined.

The parathas are made with a lot of dedication, the restaurant prepares around 150 such parathas every day and it takes around 50-60 kg of flour, potato, 40-50 kg of onion and 2-3 kg of dry fruits per day.

Tapasya Junction's owner said that the eatery is named after his daughter and it was her who came up with the idea of jumbo parathas.

"One day when her mother was sick and I brought parathas home, my one and a half-year-old daughter demanded different parathas. She said even Mumma can make such parathas. I want bigger ones," the owner narrated.

People from far away places come to relish the parathas and never fail to sing its praises. "It's not just jumbo in size, it is jumbo in taste as well," he said.
