Gurugram: A CCTV footage has come to light in which Rai Singh, the accused in the recent gruesome Gurugram murder case, can be seen going to the Rajendra Park police station to surrender along with the murder weapon after carrying out the crime.
Rai Singh, a retired soldier, assaulted five people including two minors in Gurugram's Rajendra Park on Tuesday. He killed four people including his daughter-in-law and seriously injured a 3-year-old girl. He later surrendered before the police with the murder weapon. The accused had suspected his daughter-in-law of having an illicit relationship with the tenant, Krishna Tiwari.
The police immediately swung into action after the statement of Rai Singh. They reached the house and found it smeared with blood. They entered a room on the ground floor and found the body of Sunita Yadav, the daughter-in-law of the murder accused Rai Singh. According to the police, the accused Rai Singh had a suspicion of his daughter-in-law, Sunita Yadav, having an illicit relationship with tenant Krishna Tiwari. Rai Singh carried out the gruesome assault based on his suspicion. ACP Rajiv Kumar of Gurugram Police has said that he is investigating the case from every angle. The relatives of Krishna Tiwari believe someone other than Rai Singh is also involved in this case. They are saying that this assault and murder of four people is not possible for a single person.
