Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh): A youth was allegedly beaten to death at Meerut in Baghpat district.
Body of a young man from Sonipat in Haryana was found in a car in the sugarcane fields near Baghpat highway. The accused went absconding after dumping the body in the car.
The victim has been identified as Jeetendra from Sonepat.
The incident was reported from Singhavali Ahir police station area where a luxury car was parked in the sugarcane fields in Dola village near Baghpat Highway. The locals, who spotted the abandoned car, informed the police.
Police arrived at the spot and the body of the young man was recovered from the vehicle.
Police have sent the body for postmortem and launched a probe into the matter.
