Jind (Haryana): A 30-year-old covid-19 patient waited for almost an hour after the authorities of the district civil hospital allegedly being denied admission citing inspection by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.
According to the reports, the patient who was accompanied by his parents reached the district civil hospital after denied admission at multiple hospitals.
On reaching the hospital, they found the main gate to the entrance of the hospital was locked. Although the patient's parents knocked several times, no one responded. The father of the patient, however, continuously knocked on the door. Eventually, a hospital staff opened the door, only to say that an inspection by the chief minister was underway, suggesting him to wait.
Later the door was opened by a policeman.

Meanwhile, Khattar, after holding the inspection spoke to media persons. He said the government has issued a circular to district officials directing action against hospitals that treat covid patients without procuring a license.
"It has come to my notice that several small hospitals are treating the coronavirus patients without having proper license. I have ordered the administration to take strict action against those hospitals," said Khattar.
He said there was no shortage of antiviral drug Remedesivir injection, oxygen and other life-saving medicines.
