Hisar: After linking Chandigarh to Hisar, the air taxi has started services to link Hisar to Dehradun and Dharamshala on Monday. With this, people will no longer have to wait for buses and trains to travel to and fro these destinations.
The flight fare from Hisar to Dharamsala is ₹2434, while the fare for Hisar to Dehradun has been fixed at ₹2539.
Air taxi from Hisar will depart at 16.50 minutes and will reach Dehradun at 18:35 minutes taking an average time of 1 hour 45 minutes while people can take air taxi from Dehradun to Hisar at 8:40 minutes.
The air taxi from Hisar will take off at 10.30 minutes and will reach Dharamshala at 12:20 minutes taking an average time of 1 hour 50 minutes. From Dharamshala, the air taxi will leave at 12.30 minutes for Hisar.
The air taxi service from Hisar to Chandigarh was launched by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on 14 January. The air taxi has been started under the Regional Connectivity Scheme of the Centre, which has now been extended from Hisar to Dehradun and Dharamshala.
The P2006T aircraft will play a crucial role in making this journey affordable as they have been designed specifically for air taxi services. These aircraft are light and are capable of covering long distances in less fuel. The P2006T aircraft has a 200 horsepower engine.
The maximum flight capacity of this aircraft is 275 kilometres per hour. They can fly with an average weight of 411 kg. Around 34 litres of fuel is used for an hour flight. It is a four-seater aircraft for a pilot and three passengers.
