Ahmedabad (Gujarat): Several municipalities of the neighbouring towns were recently amalgamated with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. The city has not only been expanding in its size but also in population. As a result, traffic has also increased.

The traffic is particularly heavy in the busy roads such as Ashram Road, Bapunagar, S G Highway and Hatkeshwar resulting in chaos. To ease the traffic on all major crossroads, flyover bridges have been built.
